Learning to dive?

An underwater dive is one of life’s great experiences and something that many people will not appreciate how fulfilling it can be (until they have tried!).

The best place to learn is in the swimming pool of your local hotel. Many of the dive schools offer an introductory package where you can experience what it’s like to be underwater
with only your equipment to rely on.

During this exercise you will learn how to move around and change mouthpieces…something that is crucial should you oxygen develop a temporary fault.

Where to dive in Makadi Bay?

Choose from a shore dive or take one of the many half-day or full-day dive boats that head out every day. The most famous dive sites in the area are:

  • Abu Hashish, A favourite area with snorkelers, divers are also attracted to this area.
